The President of the Uganda Chamber of Commerce and Industry Visited SST Group

The President of the Uganda Chamber of Commerce and Industry Olive Kigongo and the Ambassador of the Uganda Republic to Russia His Excellency Rutazindwa Gideon Mwebaze met the top-management of SST Group. The visit to SST Group was part of the business trip to Uganda EXPO held both in Moscow and Kaluga Region between May 27 and June 1 with the support of the Moscow Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the city of Kaluga, and Moscow Region.

At the fair, Ms. Kigongo held a series of meetings with leading companies in order to expand cooperation and technological partnership between Russia and Uganda. Since Uganda is highly interested in heating solutions for the oil industry, on May 30, 2019, the delegation visited one of Moscow Region’s leading manufacturing sites operated by SST Group, a leader of the Russian electric heating cable and electrical engineering industry.

The parties discussed the prospects for cooperation between SST Group and UNOC. SST Group’s founder and CEO Michael Strupinskiy spoke about the solutions the company exports to 60 countries worldwide, the experience with turnkey international projects, the capabilities of the Group’s R&D center and its electric heating cable systems & components manufacturing complex, the largest of its kind in Europe.

For 28 years, SST Group has been developing cutting-edge solutions for safe and uninterrupted production, transportation, and refining of oil and gas in any climatic conditions. In a study conducted by an independent international agency QYResearch in 2018, SST Group ranked 2nd globally by production volume of electric heating cable systems.
